We got this system because it was a fairly good price, had a five disk changer and because it had a radio tuner which was nice since we didn't have room for a good stereo. We brought it home and it was fairly easy to hook up and install. It was clear right away though that there was something abnormal. Everything sounds great. I have no problem with the sound quality at all. Can get very loud and I adjusted the speakers so I could hear the voices withouth being blown out of the room by the sound effects in movies. But when we put in the movie, we waited. and waited. and finally it was loading. if you have multiple discs in and you change to the next disc you wait forever again. In fact the wait was so long that we at first thought it was broken. When you listen to cd's at the end of one song you will hear about a half second of the next song then there is a pause and then the song finally starts. We've had this a couple of months (because we are too lazy to bring stuff back, especially when you have a bunch of pieces and wires and cables etc…) but now the remote only works intermittenly. If the remote doesn't work it kinda defeats half the purpose of having a home theater because with movie sound quality these days we spend the first 5 minutes adjusting the settings so we can hear the dialogue without the background effects blaring. The speakers are fine. The subwoofer has four settings so you can turn it to different levels depending on what you are listening to. I wish I could keep them and replace the dvd player/tuner. We may yet take it back and buy something better.
Pro : comes with a radio tuner and sounds great
Con : Takes forever to switch discs or change functions
